TCX waterproof boots

In the UK we would recommend wearing a waterproof motorcycle boot. Even when it doesn't rain, the waterproof membrane is a windproof membrane and will keep your feet warmer. The range of TCX waterproof boots is extensive. They use a Goretex membrane for some but often also produce a non-Goretex version at a slightly cheaper price point. In a short boot, a waterproof membrane is going to be less effective. But, in a full height motorcycle boot you should be able to stop all water ingress if your trousers sufficiently cover the top of your boots.

TCX Clima Gore-Tex boots in black

John: Comfy comfy boot

Ive been on the hunt for a while now for a new boot to supersede my Gen 1 TCX Explorers that Ive had a few years and done several continental tours with. There's nothing wrong with them at all, I just fancied a change. I had a pair of Altbergs made to measure, but they didn't fit! Largely due to big toe bunions requiring a wide fit. Having tried Sidi, Dainese, and several other brands I found them to be far too narrow. Motolegends wrote a descriptions on the virtues of the Held Annone boot so I ordered a 44 and while it was a bit tight it was correctly proportioned with a nice wide fit, but it seemed warm and over sturdy. I then realised that the last thing I wanted was a really well insulated boot I needed a wide light structured boot especially for my summer continental tours in hotter climes I asked Amy to swap the Held for the TCX Clima in a 45, which she did very swiftly also price matching +10 their competitor. I have to say while there's not a great deal of difference to the boot I already have they are super comfortable and contain more tech. There are few choices for wide tootsies, but these were instantly a hit. Good job team!

Paul Reed: Superb boot

I have an old ankle injury that makes many boots uncomfortable, but these have proven to be fine after a brief break-in. As a daily 80 mile commuter I have ridden through some of the recent downpours and found these to be 100 waterproof!
