Summer Motorcycle Trousers

Motorcycle trousers without a membrane are so much easier and more comfortable to wear than waterproof trousers in hot weather.  They can be mesh or vented to allow better airflow. There is, of course, one problem with this form of attire on the bike. Basically, if it rains you are going to get wet.

The solution, of course, is to carry with you something like a pair of Scott waterproofs. Now for some people this is an unimaginable inconvenience; a step too far. And indeed if you commute all year round, and like to tour in Wales, Scotland or Ireland then equipping yourself in this way may just not be for you.

But for most casual, weekend riders, rain is an unfortunate inconvenience, not a regular occurrence. For these riders, either a breathable riding trouser or a pair of motorcycle jeans might be the answer. 

If you are travelling on the continent or to hotter climes or working hard off-road then a vented, breathable motorcycle pant is what you need. I was initially going to buy the Klim Marrakesh pants, however I found them to be more like my adventure suit, heavy and cumbersome. Someone suggested the Ruka pants, I was very impressed with the quality, they fit like a pair of jeans and feel very comfortable. The air flow is superb, pockets, armour placement well thought out. I would highly recommend these pants.

Definitely THE most comfortable trousers you barely notice youre wearing them. Great air flow but not excessive. Ive been wearing them when its 10C with leggings and they were fine. Im 195cm and the Tall leg is generous and a perfect fit. Ive had a connector zip sewn on to connect to my Klim jacket. Highly recommended.

Seriously, no joke. Price tag - top tier, but quality, comfort and practicality of this trousers are not easy to find anywhere else. I have been looking for a good pair of trousers for a while and none of the other brands could replace them. Inout the bike with full protection I dont even think thats they are motorcycle garment. If you can, just get a pair
