Klim Marrakesh pants in asphalt Product Information
The Marrakesh pant mirrors, as you might expect, the Marrakesh jacket; in particular, the 2023 version.
It is woven from a mix of 1000 denier Cordura and Elastane. The loose weave of the fabric means that every single panel of the pant flows air. The Elastane, by contrast, means that this is probably the most comfortable pant you will ever ride in.
Yet it would be wrong to think of the Marrakesh pant as just a regular mesh trouser. It is rated AA under EN 17092. And there are Rukka and Klim Gore-Tex trousers costing over a thousand pounds that don’t rate so highly, so when you wear a pair of Marrakesh pants you’re are not, despite the comfort, trading down in terms of protection. The armour is Level 1, D3O Ghost. Again, very comfortable, but you could upgrade to L2 if you so wished. You also get extra panels of Cordura 500 in the seat for added abrasion resistance.
Feature-wise, there’s not a huge amount to say about the pants. You get two zipped, hand pockets, and the mandatory, pocket for a bear-hunting knife. You get panels of heat-resistant Kevlar up the insides of the legs to prevent the heat from a high exhaust burning the material. There’s more Cordura 500 at the hem of the pant. There’s some reflective detailing scattered about. You get belt loops, but no connecting zip; not surprising really because the Marrakesh jacket doesn’t have a connecting zip either. This having been said, we can sew a zip into the jacket; and by wearing a Halvarssons Waist Zip, you can connect the two halves. The trousers come in three different leg lengths.
A couple of weak points.
First, whilst we love Ghost armour, we don’t think it’s the right stuff for wearing off-road, or in any pant with a loose fit. In extremis, we would go for a set of Ghost knee pockets from Endura, which will clamp the armour in place.
Second. The legs of the pant will not go over an adventure boot; and this we think is a mistake. You can wear a short adventure boot, or something like the Forma ADV Tourer, but nothing with a large, plastic shin protector will fit inside the leg of the pant. That’s a shame. In our view, at minimum, these pants should have come with some form of zip and gusset.

Wendy: Comfortable Summer Riding in the Heat
I picked up the Klim Marrakesh trousers in Asphalt mainly because I wanted something lighter than black for summer riding. I ended up testing them properly on a long weekend in Wales, which just so happened to land during one of the hottest UK weekends on record around 32C. Not exactly gentle conditions! They werent quite as airy as I was expecting, but honestly I was never uncomfortable. The fabric has loads of stretch, so they just move with you rather than clinging on like jeans or some other riding trousers can when its hot. I also really appreciated how easy they were to get on and off, even after a long, sweaty day in the saddle. I ride a Triumph Tiger, so I get a fair bit of hot air blasting onto my upper legs from the engine, and I was pleasantly surprised that the trousers handled that really well. It never felt like an issue. Sizing-wise, Id definitely say consider going down a size. Im a UK womens size 16 and originally went for a mens 34, but they were way too roomy. The 32 fits much better, which just shows how generous Klims sizing is. For reference, I wear a womens medium in the Marrakesh jacket. Overall, Im really happy with them. Theyre super comfortable, really flexible, and just easy to live with on hot rides. They might not be the absolute breeziest trousers out there, but the comfort and movement more than make up for it.
Nick: Great quality
To be fair not ridden in these yet, but the quality is very good, I had to go down in size so these fit a lot better all round. Nice comfortable material and look fairly smart as well, I upgraded the armour also.
Stevie G: Comfortable and practical
I didnt like the shape and fit of the previous version so never ended up buying them. This new style is so much better. Theres still enough room for them not to be restictive on the bike but theyre not so baggy as to make you look like MC Hammer. The sizing is generous. I am a size 32 but the size 30 in the Marrakesh fits me perfectly. The leg is slightly long off the bike in this size my inside leg is 30 , but once you are on the bike it is perfect, covering your ankles. This is good if you are wearing shorter boots. Pockets are practical and the protective areas are well placed. When fitted with the Diablo armour they are really light and are very comfortable to wear. My only concern is that they do not flow as much air as Chris reviews would have you believe. Up to 30 degree temperatures and youre fine but warmer than this and theyre still getting sweaty. Wearing a wicking base layer certainly helps get around this. Overall, for touring, I prefer these to a pair of armoured jeans, mainly for comfort.
The Black Country Biker: Great bit of kit
As usual a great experience buying from Motolegends. These Klim Marrakesh trousers pants flow large amounts of air through them. I love them. They were slightly long in the leg so I got the next waist size down. They are generous in the waist so you may want to consider getting the next size down from what you normally wear.
Richard: Comfortable all day
Firstly, excellent service by Motolegends with regards speed and selection of colours and sizes. Much more selection than Others. The trousers are large in waist so I recommend sizing down. Super comfortable and flexible. Passive safety there! These and my Rokker Legend Straights are my bike kit these days after decades of trying everything else. Buy them, you wont be disappointed.and get them from Motolegends.
CHRIS: Really comfortable!
I have had the Marrakesh jacket for a couple of years and rate it very highly. The first version of the pants was very disappointing - too baggy and not flattering to wear at all!! These are excellent, really comfortable and they look so much better than the original version. Slightly long in the leg but I know I am between short and regular. Thoroughly recommend these!
