Rokker Rokkertech Tapered Slim jeans in blue Product Information

The Rokkertech tapered slim jean has been produced by Rokker exclusively for Motolegends. It is a lighter weight jean that meets the AA level under the latest EN 17092 regulations, but impressively they recorded a slide time of 6.96 seconds when tested on a Cambridge machine at SATRA. This makes them 10% stronger than leather. The wash is what Rokker calls their ‘original’ wash, which sits somewhere in between their ‘raw’ and more aggressive ‘vintage’ wash. The fit is what is termed ‘tapered slim’. In truth, this is very similar to the standard, ‘sim’ fit. It is very marginally wider in the thigh, but very marginally narrower at the ankle. There is 30% more stretch in the fabric than there is in the standard Rokkertech. This makes the ‘ Lights’ particularly comfortable to wear, but the stretch also allows a taller, touring boot to be worn inside the jean. At our behest, the jeans come with a zip, and not a button, fly. They are also supplied with the latest, super-thin Sastec armour and, for the first time ever, this is a Rokkertech that comes with adjustable, knee pockets. If you want the ultimate in protection, go for the AAA full-fat Rokkertechs, but these are as protective as you’re ever going to need on the road. They are, in a number of other respects, an improvement on the original Rokkertech jean.

Size Chart

Please note the waist size on these jeans is similar to a high street jean. They measure one to two inches bigger than the listed size. But, so do your Levis or similar!

Order these jeans in the same size as you would your street jeans and they should be about right.

Remember also you may need an inch longer than your street jean to allow for wearing on the bike.

Reviews

Kevin in Aus: Excellent jeans!

All the good stuff that others have mentioned is true...really comfortable, slightly stretchy fabric. The D30 Ghost armour in the hips was so imperceptible I actually went looking for it while trying them on to see if it was there! Not planning to test the abrasion resistance any time soon, but I have every confidence in these jeans.

Gustav: Superb comfort.

This isnt a review as such, more of a first impression. In fact I dont think you can do a full review of a motorcycle protective garment unless youve actually worn it in a crash. Anyway, these jeans are superbly comfortable. The material is very soft and stretchy, so much so in fact that you might even consider sizing down your waist measurement slightly. The armor pads, especially those on the hips are basically unnoticeable. It is also a very good thing that the kneepads are adjustable on this model. The only downside I can see at this point is the hefty price tag. Oh, and very speedy delivery too!

Tezmate: Brilliant.

Great motorcycle gear that isn't like motorcycle gear. Very impressed. And great service too.

Chris Harrod: Great fit!

New riding here and needed decent jeans and so tried these. Perfect fit! and it came with a cool T-shirt! Top quality all round!

Ian: Perfect

My first pair of jeans. I went for the same size as my normal jeans and they are super comfortable. The ghost armour is amazing, barely notice it is there. They look great and are perfect for summer riding - nowhere near as warm as leather trousers.

Old Git: Comfort and Protection - whats not to like?

I bought these to replace a pair of Rokkertech jeans because my old and weak fingers just couldnt cope with the button fly. Hoping to use them for warm weather riding. Warmest so far has been about 16C. Below about 13C I think they might be too cool, but thats fine by me. As others have said, a snug fit even over a slim boot so that may be something to bear in mind. My normal jean inside leg is 31 and these in 32 are fine for me without turn ups.

PR: Hard to believe

Very comfortable, stretchy fabric that I still can't believe wont fall apart if I were to hit the pavement at speed. I hope never to find out. They are quite slim, particularly in the lower leg, but they can easily fit over a low boot. The only negative is that the waist is a little low particularly in back, so I would not want to wear it with a short jacket.

D: Rokkertech Jeans

Excellent pair of single layer jeans, comfortable on and off the bike. Summer riding essential!

Pavlo: Real LifePractical Protective

I bought these after much research and watching the single layer jean review from Motolegends. I have an old pair of Bull-it jeans, with full kevlar lining which feel very protective, but the fit is variable and they are very bulky. These Rokker Jeans are a generation ahead for as much if not better protection. The fit is excellent - I followed the guidance to select my normal jean size. They are comfortable and with Ghost armour - look very good. The legs are slimmer than expected, and will only go over a slim boot, but I am very pleased with my purchase. Pricey but they feel great quality. On dress down days I have ridden into work and kept them on, and no-one gives them a second glance.

BB: These Are The Business!

Gotta say these are the best motorcycle jeans Ive bought. They are so lightweight and comfortable. The fit is true to size and everything other people have said about them is spot on. Great buy, great service!

Chris: Game changer

Ive seen Rokker jeans for a few years now, and always thought how ridiculously overpriced they are. But now Ive bought some. Wow. All the hype seems to be true, they actually are just like a normal pair of jeans. You really can wear them all day and then put your leather jacket on and ride just like in the old days when we rode carefree in normal jeans . It almost feels like cheating. The ghost armour is so good Ive had to check its still there. And these are supposed to be safer than my textile pants? Now the price tag doesn't seem too bad at all.

William: Simply the Best

These jeans are the most comfortable and lightest that I have ever worn, by a country mile. They are on par with normal, fashionable jeans and have proven to be cool in the recent heat wave. For reference, they are replacing ones Resurgence New Wave jeans, until at least this autumn, at which point they'll become a little too chilly. My only minor criticism is that the legs twist inwards, ever so slightly, and therefore I have to correct the knee armour once astride ones bike. Further to the fit, I wear them with ankle boots, which is great. However, they would be a tight fit to pull over my Daytona boots, or anything similar. In summary, extremely pleased and you get what you pay for. As usual, fantastic service from the team and well worth a visit...and I live 200 miles away! Thank you.

Guy: Amazing - as comfy as regular jeans and better than original Rokkertechs!

I recently bought the Rokker Rokkertech Slim jeans in light wash the ones with 6 second slide time from Motolegends and was very impressed with them only to find out a week later these were released. After a lot of umming and ahring I decided to go for the plunge and fork out on this new lighter pair. And boy am I glad that I did. Firstly, these are so much lighter than the other jeans and feel very soft, just like normal levis. I am relocating to the Caribbean, so am very glad for the lighter material as will be a lot cooler in the 30 degree heat. Additionally, I had to order a 38W in the heavier jeans - they were a bit loose, but the 36W was just too tight for my rugby player legs. Because of the increased room in the thigh and the increased stretch, I am able to easily fit in a 36W which does as much for my comfort as it does myu self esteems and narrative to my wife that Im taking my diet seriously... when in reality I havent lost any weight. I also prefer the zip, colour and inclusion of ghost armour, though these are more personal preference. In summary, both are great jeans, but these ones take gold... they are cheaper, feel like normal jeans and still maintain a 4.9 second slide time that is still better than leather. I only hope Rokker bring out a riding shirt that is equally thin to match if they havent already.

MG: Perfect!

Ive had resurgence vintage, and light jeans before and the rokker light are way better, they look good, fit good, and feel just like a pair of 501s... with the ghost armour you hardly would know you have hip and knee armour in, off the bike they're comfy, could walk about all day in them... A word about sizing, Im a 32 waist and 30 leg length in 501s... The 32 waist and 32 length fits perfect... I tried 3132 before and it was too tight and too short and had to return them, excellent jeans tho, and free ghost armour included is a bonus!
