The chassis of the pant is made from a 500 denier Cordura, but importantly the fabric has woven into it an element of stretch, and it is this that gives the Comfo-R its extraordinary comfort.
On the knees and hips there’s an additional layer of 500 denier Cordura for extra strength and abrasion resistance. On the subject of protection, the pant comes fitted with, vented, Level 2 D3O armour in the hips and knees.
The membrane is by Gore-Tex. The fact that it’s a drop-liner membrane also adds to the comfort factor. Drop-liner membranes, of course, also make for warmer garments as they trap air better than laminated garments.
For colder weather the pant has a removable, 60g. thermal liner. When it’s warm, two zipped vents on the thighs will allow cooler air to circulate around the legs.
You get two zipped pockets on the sides. And there’s a zip that enables you to connect the pants to any Rukka or Halvarssons jacket.
The waist has an adjuster system. A popper arrangement also allows you to alter the volume in the lower leg. At the bottom of the leg you get long zips with Velcro laps that will allow you to wear the pants over just about any road boot.
In the bum you get Rukka’s AirCushion and Antiglide systems. The former helps breathability in order to avoid sweatiness; the latter stops you sliding around the seat.
Importantly, the pants come in short, regular and long lengths, although only Motolegends will be carrying the longer trousers.
The Comfo-R is a fabulous jacket and pant combination. Rukka is best known for its laminated outfits and indeed lamination has become all the rage in recent years. Nonetheless, we are of the view that drop-liner outfits are a better option for 90% of riders 90% of the time. And the Comfo-R is one of the very best drop-liner outfits we have come across. It is not inexpensive, but is not unaffordable; it’s a suit that every biker should look at.

I wouldnt usually pay £600 for bike trousers but I was tempted in a Sunday sale. The first time I wore these it rained hard for 3 hours non stop, I live in Wales... I was perfectly dry, except my wallet in the side pocket as I think I left that unzipped, doh.. definitely comfortable, warm dry and feel protective with large armour. Would only prefer more pockets as only 2 available, two more cargo pockets would be perfect.

Bought some of these on one of the Sunday sales and they are great. Paired with a Nivala jacket perfectly. They are super comfortable and warm. They definitely dont feel like a compromise over the Nivala Trousers.

Bought during the weekend sale to replace Rukka Navigator Laminated trousers which initially worried me, but after a weekend in Scotland, no need to. Huge pockets compared to me old ones, fit was great correct length this time, very comfy and warm enough down to 10C. Would advise to purchase braces they dont come with any. Other than that brilliant. Dont know how they will be during heavy rain but expect they will be up to the job as with all Rukka kit.
LT: Top quality product
A review might be superfluos given that it is likely Rukka are going to drop these, but at the price I paid on sale from Motolegends they are a bargain. I already have a pair of Kemi trousers but managed to melt the right leg on some unshielded part of my exhaust. So I took the opportunity of picking these up. They come with additional thermal liner. Not duck down at this price point, but still pretty decent. Overall these are excellent. Though if priced similar to the Kemi version I would probably opt for them as the venting is better in my view.

Was tempted by the 50 offer. They are excellent quality. On a par, if not better than my previous laminated rukkas. They fit and feel great.

Usual Rukka high quality materials and massive D3O armor. Unlike most makes where the knee armour covers a bit of the knee and you are sure if you ever came off then it wouldnt be in position the Rukka knee armour in these trousers covers the whole of the knee and the shin. I havent tested the full waterproofing but assume if like the jacket then it will be fine. The thermal liner is a bit bulky compared to Outlast but is very warm. Very happy with my purchase.
