Rukka motorcycle clothing offers the very best biker gear that you can buy; their motorcycle trousers are ultra high performance, and are designed for the motorcyclist who puts in high mileages, and who rides throughout the year whatever the conditions. There is always a matching Rukka jacket available to complete the suit. Most, but not all, of Rukka's motorcycle trousers have a laminated construction, where the waterproof membrane is bonded to the trousers' inner and outer layers. This delivers the ultimate in waterproofing, and prevents the pants from ever "wetting out". One downside of laminated garments is the price, as only Gore-Tex does laminating well, and the manufacturing is exceedingly complex. The other downside is that laminated garments tend to be rather stiff, so they are not always the most comfortable to wear. Rukka does, however, also produce some trousers with a traditional drop-liner, and these avoid the downsides of the laminated method of construction. They also product some pants with a removable waterproof lining for ultimate versatility and also a summer pant with no lining whatsoever.

Being Rukka these trousers are well made and substantial, as anyone who has owned Rukka gear will attest to this is par for the course, they also fit well and Rukka sizing is such that almost anyone will be able to get the correct fit unlike the offerings from Klim. They flow plenty of air, and most importantly allow you to sweat properly without becoming soaked, as the condensate can escape owing to the design of the fabric. They are all day comfortable, although as with any Rukka trousers they are probably best worn with braces lets face it, these are not a stylish propostition in any event, so braces arent going to make things any worse!. I also own a pair of Rokker Legends, and can confirm that the Rukkas do flow more air. Why do I choose to ride in these over a good pair of jeans? in the first instance they are cooler at speed and you wont get as clammy in pari passu weather, secondly it is undeniable that the armour is huge and correspondingly the margins of protection particularly at higher speeds will be greater - how much of a consideration this is is a personal matter. Overall I would say that these trousers are the choice if you are going on a serious days ride in hotter conditions covering several hundred miles. if you are going out for a Sunday bimble, a pair of jeans is likely to be better. If there is one very small criticism it is that due to the loose design of what I would describe as the blind hem of the trouser is loose, which means I end up getting my feet stuck in the lower leg area, requiring a bit of faffing to clear the snagged material. A solution might be to stitch this blind hem to the outer chassis of the trouser, thus preventing feet getting stuck. Who knows, maybe it is just me it would not be the first time!.

After owning the Kemi jacket for a year, I decided bite the bullet and buy my first ever pair of textile trousers. Every pair Ive ever tried on in the past has looked liked a sack of spuds, and Ive stuck to my leathers, until now! The Kemi pant is that rare thing a flattering textile trouser. They fit snugly and comfortably at the waist, with the benefit of versatile velcro adjusters. The hip armour is substantial but looks amazingly discreet. There are generous ankle zips to accommodate a long boot. The fit on the thighs is perfect, no massive amounts of material flapping around. Id say the are true to size and the leg length is generous. I have a 31.5in inside leg and the regular length was perfect. Thanks to Sara for all her help. Id never shop anywhere else.

I wouldnt usually pay £600 for bike trousers but I was tempted in a Sunday sale. The first time I wore these it rained hard for 3 hours non stop, I live in Wales... I was perfectly dry, except my wallet in the side pocket as I think I left that unzipped, doh.. definitely comfortable, warm dry and feel protective with large armour. Would only prefer more pockets as only 2 available, two more cargo pockets would be perfect.
