The Stylmartin Jack boot is the classic, motorcycle, ankle boot very much in the style of a Caterpillar or Timberland work boot. There are lots of motorcycle boots in this mould; just about every manufacturer offers one.
The Stylmartin Jack is made from a full-grain leather. It comes with a comfort roll at the top of the shaft, and a baffled pad in the heel; again with the aim of adding comfort.
For waterproofing the boot comes with a breathable, waterproof membrane.
In terms of protection the Jack has an impressively robust counter in the toe. There’s another equally strong counter in the heel. Both ankles are protected by hard, foamed-backed protectors. You get a gearchange pad sewn onto the toe box.
To help getting in and out of the boot there’s a full-length zip up the inside. What is also going to help is the fact that the top, two eyelets are configured as speed hooks. These do make a huge difference.
The outsole is what Stylmartin call their Special Grip sole. This is their all-round, sole that is going to work in pretty much all conditions. It is basically a replica of a Commando sole. Like all Stylmartin boots it comes with a replaceable, anatomic insole.
