Motorcycle helmets | Free next day UK delivery

A motorcycle helmet is, without doubt, the most important piece of motorcycle protective wear you will ever buy. We are asked a lot, “What’s the Best Helmet?”, “What’s the Safest Helmet?”. But that is a difficult question to answer. Are we talking about a full face helmet, an adventure helmet or a flip lid helmet. Or indeed, even an open-face helmet although we are not big proponents of wearing an open-face helmet.

The truth is that the most important factor is fit and the fit of a helmet as much to do with shape as it does to pure measurement. And that is why we are great fans of Shoei helmets because of their new Personal Fit System (Shoei PFS) which gives us a computerised system to help perfect the fit of any of the Shoei helmets.

So all helmets now have to meet the ECE 22-06 standard. But, not all helmets that meet that standard are the same. For us, the two brands that stand head and shoulders above the others are Shoei and Arai helmets. These two brands are the longest established and the most respected names in the business. Both of them prioritise safety above all else. They don’t make helmets to a price point, they don’t make entry level helmets, and the invest heavily in R&D to ensure they are continually improving.

For us, the best helmet for commuters and tourers is the Shoei Neotec 3. As an alternative the Schuberth C5 now also has options to fit it better and has the added advantage of taking either a Sena or a Cardo integrated comms.

Arai Quantic interior head liner

Triplesapper: Fast service

Ordered a 5mm Arai helmet liner formy Quantic as the one in my helmet was proving to be a bit too big and therfore tight across my head. Really fast service from Motolegends. Only grumble is the price - £74.99. Cant blame Motolegends though as the liner was only £5 cheaper at the Visor Shop, but delivery was a few days longer and I needed it quickly. Arai helmet liners arnt cheap.

Schuberth C5 / E2 / S3 neck pads

Andy C: C5 fixed

Guys, many thanks for the video about the schuberth C5 fit. I was getting huge headaches after 50 minutes in the helmet, despite a seeming really good fit. You enabled me to purchase just the thinner neck pad, and things are significantly improved. Looks like I can live with the helmet after all. Though Im not local to you, I reckon Ill be making the trip next time I need new gear. Great job.

Shoei Neotec 3 helmet in white

John: New helmet

Got a Neotec 3 it is quieter and lighter than the Neotec 2 and the shell is slightly smaller. Also got the sena SRL 3 and had to come back to Motolegends a week later as this analogue old codger trying to make his way in this digital world could not pair the phone and sat nav to the headset which they did in a couple of minutes good service.
