Shoei Neotec 2 helmet video review

Published on: 18 November 2019

The Shoei Neotec 2 is not a new helmet. In fact, it’s been out for almost a couple of years. But we’ve never done a video about it, so Sean thought some people might find it interesting to have us walk through the helmet and how it all works.

Now, for us, it’s very simple. For proper, serious, road riding, the Neotec 2 is simply the best helmet money can buy. You can spend a lot more on a helmet, a percentage of the proceeds from which have been directed to the Swiss bank account of a Moto GP rider. You can buy a helmet with sexier graphics, and there are certainly fancier, super-lightweight carbon helmets that you can spend a huge amount of money on.

But if you value reliability, superior levels of protection, good venting, comfort and an absence of unnecessary wind noise, then you won’t find better than the Shoei. It’s not a cheap helmet, but we reckon it offers great value for the money. In this review Sean explains why the Neotec 2 works so well, and what we can do to make it fit the way it’s meant to fit.

The Neotec 2 has now been replaced by the Shoei Neotec 3 helmet.
