What are the main differences between the Shoei Neotec 3 and the Shoei Neotec 2?
Shoei has worked hard to make the helmet quieter by extending the cheek pads back to stop wind ingress at the back of the shell, by making the comms and switches lower profile and by amending the nose shape to make it more aerodynamic. Visor has central locking mechanism as is required under EC 22-06. Weight is about the same.
When was the Shoei Neotec 3 launched?
The helmet was announced and arrived in early September 2023.
What is the lifespan of a Shoei Neotec 3?
That really depends on your usage but as with all Shoei helmets, the Neotec 3 has a 5 year warranty.
How many shell sizes are there in a Shoei Neotec 3?
The Neotec 3 comes in three shell sizes. XS, S and M out of a medium shell, L has a shell size of its own and XL and 2XL out of an XXL shell.

Shoei Neotec 3 Grasp TC5 helmet in white / black / red
This helmet is super comfortable if you have it fitted using the PFS system and has bags of features. Im using a Cardo intercom system and use the Cardo Neotec 3 adaptor to mount it to this helmet. There are three things that could do with being improved. The ventilation is really not that good in 30 degree plus temperatures. The chin vent does nothing and the vent on top does very little. And if you raise your visor to one of the intermediate stop positions it obscures the top vent cutting off what little airflow there is. Second, there is no reasonable first stop open visor position to help with demisting or airflow. There a tiny intial gap when opening the visor and then a huge gap to the first stop. Thirdly, the pinlock does not adequately fill the visor shape, so there is considerable condensation at the outer left and right edges that is enough to obscure some peripheral vision. Dont get me wrong, this is a fantastic helmet and warrants a five star rating but there are acouple of improvements that could really help.

I had the PFS fitting and I was very happy with the result. I have the Neotec 2 and I thought I was happy with it, the new version is a vast improvement, so quiet and very comfortable all around.

Brilliant helmet and outstanding service from Motolegends throughout. Just come from a Schuberth C5 and this is night and day better in quality. C5 plastickycomms had no end of issues - 2 separate batteries - a terrible ideavisor not shutting properly!! Really disappointed having had good Schuberths in the past. Had the full PFS at Motolegends and would hugely recommend, Joe is excellent and after 5 previous helmets I now know how they should feel. Thanks Joe. Yes its expensive, but beautifully made. You pay your money and make your choice - Im happy that Ive got the best lid going.
