Stylmartin Blink boots in black

The Stylmartin Blink is configured as something akin to a high-top trainer.

 

The upper is constructed from a combination of water-resistant Nubuck and full-grain leather;  the latter of which is perforated for extra breathability.

 

The real waterproofing, however, comes from a fully waterproof and breathable membrane.

 

There's no doubting that the Blink is a very solid and protective boot, with a strong counter in the toe and heel, and D3O pucks in the ankles. You also, of course, get a moulded, gearchange pad. 

 

For walking comfort, there's some concertina padding in the heel. You also get a useful pull strap to help in getting the boots on and off.

 

The sole is a particularly stiff affair, with what Stylmartin term a 'sport grip' tread. Above the outsole is an EVA midsole for comfort and impact absorption. Inside the sole there's a replaceable, anatomic insole.
