Motorcycle body armour

Protection in motorcycle gear comes in the form of abrasion resistant materials for sliding down the road and armour to protect you against impact. All the armour we stock here at Motolegends is CE approved. There are different levels for limbs and back protectors. We stock different brands but our favourite is probably D3O. D3O comes from a UK company and is the market leader in producing armour that is comfortable to wear but still up to the job at hand.

Rheon level 2 full back protector

Jefferson: Just what I needed

Arrived in the usual couple of days and well packed. Having a Rukka jacket without back protector as I wear this with an air vest, it was handy timing for the days I want not to wear the vest. Fits exactly, hanging with the centre tag, light and comfortable. Just the job, money well spent.

D3O Viper Air Level 2 back protector

Jon Gillan: Fits in multiple jackets

Level 2 protection for your back that is flexible and lightweight. I move my armour from jacket to jacket and can say that this fits my Helstons Trust, Merlin Gable 2, Triumph Stockton and a Dainese textile winter jacket, all in size large. I was very surprised this back protector fits so incredibly well across this range of jackets. The Triumph Stockton is 20 years old, compact fitting and made long before D3O ruled the market, but it fits like a glove even in this jacket. The safety needs no review and aside from an armadillo-style back protector this is your best bet. In terms of comfort this is a solid piece of kit but light and airy. The safety benefits far outweigh any additional bulk. Well worth it and recommended. Stay safe and look after yourself. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Motolegends top service as always. Many thanks.

D3O Viper back protector Level 1 - to fit this jacket

Phil S: Preferred L1 to L2

I went in to buy a L2 back protector but when Rob in the shop fitted a L2 for me to try it seemed not to bend very easily and pulled the front of the collar up against my throat. The L1 didnt do that so I bought it and am very pleased with it in the Lysvik jacket
