Motorcycle Gloves

There are many different styles of motorcycle glove to suit just about every kind of riding situation, and if you ride across the seasons, it is likely that you will have to equip yourself with more than one pair of gloves. For summer riding, and when it’s dry, it’s hard to argue against leather motorcycle gloves. It’s comfortable to wear, has strength for abrasion resistance, and gives the rider good feel at the controls. You could equally go for a textile version, but in essence a summer glove has no membrane. But leather is not good in the rain, as it simply absorbs moisture. This can leave you feeling both wet and cold. When it’s cold but dry, you may want to go for a padded leather glove. Every biker will probably also need a pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves. These can either be a summer weight, called a summer waterproof glove; or, for when it is cold and wet, an insulated and waterproof glove, known as a winter glove. Of course, from a style perspective, there are dozens of different designs that allow you to match your glove to the style of bike you ride.

We particularly like and recommend Richa gloves and Held gloves. Both companies started out as glove manufacturers so they really know gloves. Richa make very highly spec'd gloves at very competitive prices. Held make quite unique gloves and in a good range of sizing including short-fingered versions.

Rukka Forsair 2.0 glove in black

Mike M: Most Comfortable gloves

This is my 2nd pair of Fossairs and they are the most comfy summer gloves I own. When its very hot 30+ there are gloves that flow more air such as the Klim Induction but these are my normal go to summer gloves when normal temps apply. The touchscreen fingers are better on the 2 newer pair I have so thats been updated. Great gloves.

Mike M: Excellent short cuff gloves

Very good short cuff Gore-tex gloves. Lots of feel and have the look feel and build of a quality set of gloves. Moto legends are the only UK supplier but worth the expense.

Held Misawa Sports gloves in black

Ian Nanjiani: excellent spec fit like a glove....

I have the ducatti branded version of these top glove. they wear in very quickly, and have a lovely feel when they do. air scoops great on a hot day. I switch between these and the held desert 2 in the hot weather - I find these marginally cooler perhaps because of the scoop, but I may be dreaming. need to try one on each hand for a more scientific approach... very happy with them
