Motorcycle gloves

There are many different styles of motorcycle glove to suit just about every kind of riding situation, and if you ride across the seasons, it is likely that you will have to equip yourself with more than one pair of gloves. For summer riding, and when it’s dry, it’s hard to argue against leather motorcycle gloves. It’s comfortable to wear, has strength for abrasion resistance, and gives the rider good feel at the controls. You could equally go for a textile version, but in essence a summer glove has no membrane. But leather is not good in the rain, as it simply absorbs moisture. This can leave you feeling both wet and cold. When it’s cold but dry, you may want to go for a padded leather glove. Every biker will probably also need a pair of waterproof motorcycle gloves. These can either be a summer weight, called a summer waterproof glove; or, for when it is cold and wet, an insulated and waterproof glove, known as a winter glove. Of course, from a style perspective, there are dozens of different designs that allow you to match your glove to the style of bike you ride.

We particularly like and recommend Richa gloves and Held gloves. Both companies started out as glove manufacturers so they really know gloves. Richa make very highly spec'd gloves at very competitive prices. Held make quite unique gloves and in a good range of sizing including short-fingered versions.

Held Springride GTX gloves in black

Jack: Held Springride - Toasty

Bought these as my hands get cold even with heated handlebars ... have ridden this year 2026 1000 miles in temps from 4 deg C to 16 deg so far and these have been my go to, all day comfort, warm especially my finger tips and I notice I have reduced the power and use of heated handlebars. they arelook high quality as well.

Lee Parks DeerTours PCI gloves in black

Paul Richards: Must have for heated grips

Quality is excellent very soft material and a great fit. I bought a size M, and even with my small hands they feel comfortable and secure. The standout feature is the heating the bottom warms up first and the heat transfers nicely across the top of the gloves.
