Shoei J.O2 Helmet Motorcycle Helmets

At last, in the second half of 2025, the Shoei J.O2 helmet is here. The original Shoei open face JO was first launched in 2015 and proved a popular modern option for those wanting a classic look.

Now updated to comply with the new, higher ECE 22-06 safety standards, the JO 2 is a small, traditional, jet style open face helmet with a duck-tail shape. This new version (unlike the original JO) has snaps to fit a peak. As with the first version, the J.O2 has s drop down visor which comes clear as standard but can be changed for a dark or yellow version.  

As with all Shoei helmets, the J.O2 has the facility to change the head liners and cheek pads to ensure a good fit. Furthermore, you can visit our shop in Guildford for a Shoei PFS (personal fit system) to give you that personal, perfect helmet fit!

Malcolm: Replacement helmet

Having realised that my last JO2 was past its best and also I had lost a bit of weight resulting in it lifting as I rode a replacement was needed. I did look at flip lids and the J cruise and came back to this helmet. The visor is great in the summer for bug protection and does keep rain out to a degree. Build quality is superb as expected and the fit suits me just right. Comfort is really good. I know many will not ride with an open face but if you do, then the JO2 is pretty much the best. Excellent fit for me XL although Im a XL in Arai . Visor retracts into helmet allowing goggles to be worn. Although there are only 2 air vents at rear head temperature was ok even though it was a warm 26 deg C sunny day. Motolegends staff very helpful at Guildford , well worth visit.
