Motorcycle jackets | Bike jackets | Biker jackets

Choosing a motorcycle jacket is probably the most important gear decision you have to make. The huge choice of bike jackets on the market can be bewildering. There are the safety issues to consider - how abrasion resistant is the jacket material; are there reinforced areas; what level is the shoulder and elbow armour; is a back protector included or optional? Then you need to think about the waterproofing and venting properties of the jacket. Will you be riding in the summer or winter or both? These days a textile motorcycle jacket can be just as effective as leather in terms of protection. But leather has no thermal qualities, and is very poor when it comes to keeping the rider dry, as it simply absorbs moisture. Staying safe on a bike is helped when you ride comfortably, and in most circumstances, hot or cold, wet or dry, you'll be more comfortable in a textile jacket. Textile jackets  also tend to come equipped with a whole host of technical features that often don't make their way onto leather motorcycle jackets. Choose leather if your priority is looking good, or if you’re riding on the track. Choose textile for commuting and touring.

We stock what we consider to be the very best brands in the business - so Rukka jackets, Klim jackets, Belstaff jackets to name just the top few. The jacket is excellent, its really comfortable and does exactly what Chris describes in the videos. Worn as a part of the layer system its perfect for touring.

Bering Ottawa GTX jacket in black

David Jerome: An Amazing Jacket

Bought this as an Autumn season jacket, the material is very comfortable for a Gore-Tex laminated jacket. I love the way the rain just runs off the jacket with no soaking material, it means putting the jacket back on after a coffee stop is very easy. Look at Motolegends sizing chart as they are smaller than average.

Halvarssons Lysvik jacket in black

nog2004: New Favorite Jacket between Summer and Winter

Absolute brilliant jacket for the price, especially in the sale - not many frills but works perfectly. Recently used on a 1200 mile trip, used it through warm weather, chilly mornings and rain. Works perfectly in all conditions, Im a believer in the Motolegends layering system. Hit a few heavy showers, it kept me nice and dry, although not used for prolonged heavy downpours, didnt need to stop to put on my Scots, toasty warm with a lightweight merino t shirt Warm and Safe base layer, and a Klim Zephyr to keep the heat in. Cool enough with the vents open when it got warm through the day. I also use a Klim airvest so bought 1 size up to normal, again, was just right for me, and no hassles with sleeve length being too long. I think this will be used in winter except for the coldest of days, but perhaps would be just right with scots over the top. Only a couple of niggles 1.The front zip is a bit small and has to be firmly in the receiver otherwise it will separate when trying to zip it up 2.Minor detail, but the armour is velcrod in and not in pockets, I would have liked to change it to the Ghost armour, but will check to see if the ghost can be bought with Velcro, again, not a big issue, but having been spoilt, I love the Ghost
