The Rimo-R is a highly-vented, two-layer, laminated jacket aimed specifically at the off-road and adventure rider. It’s two-layer construction makes it softer, more pliable and more comfortable than many Rukka garments, most of which employ a three-layer Pro-Shell construction. With its two lower, external flap pockets, the Rimo-R sits a little longer than most road-going motorcycle jackets, as indeed you would expect of a proper adventure jacket. And as you would also expect of an adventure jacket, the Rimo-R is amply supplied with zippable vents. But where the Rimo-R differs of from other adventure outfits is that it comes supplied without any body armour. Rukka’s thinking is that some people will want to a wear close-fitting body armour suit beneath the Rimo-R. But, of course, you can also decide to buy D3O XTR protectors to fit into the elbows, shoulders and back pockets on the jacket. So the Rimo-R can be configured as a well-vented, waterproof outfit for the serious off-roader, or it can become a lightweight adventure jacket for the rider who spends most of his time on the road, and who wants to enjoy the dual benefits of laminated waterproofing and generous venting.
