Motorcycle Trousers

In the event of an accident it is frequently the lower half of the body that come into contact with the ground, and usually for the longest time, so the level of protection offered by a trouser is of paramount importance. By contrast, the trouser takes less impact from the wind and rain than does the jacket, so features like thermal liners may not be quite so vital. Leather is naturally abrasion resistant, so leather motorcycle trousers can give you a significant level of protection if you end up sliding down the road. But leather is not good in the rain and has few thermal properties, so leather trousers are not so good in the winter. A good textile motorcycle trouser won’t absorb the rain and, of course, most trousers will have a thermal liner for greater warmth and comfort. All proper motorcycle trousers will come with armour in the knees and hips and, dependent on your riding, you may look for features like anti-abrasion backings, air-vents, stretch panels for comfort, and reflective areas for better visibility. We recommend you also consider motorcycle jeans as an option as the modern protective jean can offer great abrasion and impact protection as well as comfort and style on your motorbike. I bought the Halvarssons Idre jacket and jeans I love the aged look, but I also have Belstaff jackets, and I wanted something to equal the look and quality of these. I am not really interested in the water-resistant element. If it rains, I wear my Rukka, but the quality of the leather with these Rinn pants is second to none. My only complaint is the belt loops. I like to wear belts, and these could offer more coverage, specifically at the back. A wider belt loop would make the back fit closer to my back. Otherwise, very happy with the cut, the fit, and the superb quality.

I wear these on an hour long each way daily commute and then all day in the office. On the bike they are really comfortable and the knee armour stays over the knee - much better than on other trousersjeans I own. The armour is also a decent size - bigger than the regular D30. They are also a great length - somehow they manage to sit perfectly on and off the bike. Worn for hours in the office the comfort is top drawer. They are smart enough to be worn with a formal shirt if needed. The armour does not make them uncomfortable. Probably the best commuter work motorcycle trousers Ive owned.

I was a bit apprehensive buying these after Motolegends review saying the ankle was tight and might not fit over boots. I neednt of worried, as they go over my Alpinestars touring boot with no issues. They are extremely comfortable, and the material stretches easily when moving round the bike, standing whilst riding and anything in between. Whilst they do flow air, its only marginally more than jeans unless I stand up, when it is noticeable. The armour pockets are well placed as well. The side zipped pockets are deep and large enough to fit my wallet and keys in comfortably. Fantastic service from Motolegends as always. Cannot recommend them enough as a shop, and Id recommend the Klim Marrakesh pants as well.
