Motorcycle Socks

Now people in the shop often ask about warm winter boots. And whilst the ‘climatic membrane’ in many Daytona boots does offer some protection from the elements, the reality is that most tall, waterproof boots do the same kind of job. If you want warmer feet you need warmer socks. Now we have sourced what we believe to be some of the warmest biking socks you can buy, even though they are hiking socks made by a company that doesn’t work in motorcycling. That company is Bridgedale. Their Merino socks are the best and the warmest, although we offer lots of other options too. Like socks that incorporate a waterproof membrane. Take a look.

By contrast we also have thin, breathable and vented socks for those times your feet are overheating!

Having worn the BMW Motorrad summer sock for many years I thought Id give these a go. They are nice and thin and allow air to circulate around the boot. They also hold well on the calf and dont feel tight when on the bike. When washing them while touring they dry fast pack small. Worth a look.

I was looking for an alternative to my BMW summer touring socks so opted to give these a try. I found them slimmer, therefore giving a little more room within the boot. This in turn allowed my feet to breathe a little better. Ive worn them under jeans they are comfortable with both garments not catching on each other on the calf for example. Pricing is on a par with the BMW option but I would recommend them to try.
