Textile Motorcycle Gloves

As with a motorcycle jacket, a textile motorcycle glove may be your best choice if staying warm and staying dry are primary concerns. Leather gloves feel great. They are comfortable to wear, and become more so over time. They also give great feel at the controls. But leather has little by way of thermal properties and, when it rains, leather will soak up water like a sponge. Textile gloves are, to a degree, water resistant and, if they’re backed with a good quality waterproof membrane, they offer the best chance of staying dry on the bike. As far as staying warm is concerned, both textile and leather gloves can come with thermal linings, but because a textile glove will do a better job of keeping water out, it will also be better at keeping you warm. A very common combination is to have a textile upper on the glove to keep your hands dry, but a leather palm to give a better feel on the handlebars.

Dainese Funes GTX gloves in black

Mark: Best Winter Gloves I Have Bought

These are supremely comfortable and warm gloves, with perfect weather proofing - what more do you need from a winter glove! The only downside is that the website says a Medium is a size 9, whereas the glove itself says they are a size 8.5. I am normally a size 9 in gloves and these felt a little tight at first - they did give a little over a few hours riding though. I have worn these in terrential rain and ambient temperatures of 4 degrees Celcius for up to an hour at a time and they have been perfect. I have no hesitation in recommending these gloves.

Gav S: Brilliant winter glove

Bought these when purchasing a new Shoei Neotech helmet using the excellent PFS service. Having ridden last couple of months with them I can honestly say no cold fingers with zero degree temperatures and obviously lower windchill. No other winter gloves have come close. Highly recommend and great service from the team when choosing the right gloves.

Alexander: Excellent gloves.

Theyre warm and feel great in your hand. Excellent quality. I usually wear size L gloves, but in these cases I chose size M. And it was the right decision. The gloves fit snugly, and my fingers dont feel compressed or dig into the material.
