Textile Motorcycle Jackets
Leather jackets are for riding in the summer. Wax cotton is more practical than leather in many respects, and can look very cool. But for any form of serious riding, it’s a textile motorcycle jacket that you’re going to need. In the last 20 years, the technology involved in motorcycle clothing has advanced greatly, and nowhere is this more apparent than in textile jackets. A textile jacket doesn’t absorb water like leather, so it is always going to be better in the wet. But a modern textile jacket will often come with features such as a waterproof membrane, a removable thermal-liner , anti-abrasion panelling, waterproof zips, ventilation openings and exhausts, heat reflective coatings, high-vis areas, and so on. It’s a complicated area, and you should seek advice before taking the plunge. If you ride every day, you might want a jacket with a laminated waterproof membrane rather than the drop-liner that appears in most jackets. A laminated jacket is particularly waterproof, and will never ‘wet-out', but laminated jackets can be rather stiff, and so not particularly comfortable to wear.

Halvarssons Gruven jacket in blue
I got my Gruven several weeks ago in the last Motolegends sale at a very good discount. Intially, I thought the sleeves were a little long but having used the coat today for the first time, the sleeves are perfect for me on the bike. Today was a bright but crisp day, about 8degrees. Is say that this is the first time in several years that Ive ridden in such conditions were I havent had a coldcool chest area. Today I had the inner liner which comes with the coat on. It comes with a foil type lined interior. I wont leave home without this on in cool conditions ever again. I am very happy with this jacket and would highly recommend it thinking of buying one. Fit is true to the size on the jacket. Thank you Motolegends.
Rukka Hi-Vis vest
Great Vest. Thankfully Motolegends had the 4XL size which is great for me. Being one of the larger riders some accessories are hard to come by in the larger size. 64 in Rukka jackets bit this vest fits perfectly over them with stretch to spare.
Dainese Carve Master 4 GTX jacket in black
I bought this to replace my tired Ducati Strada C4 jacket also made by Dainese. So i was confident the fit would be the same and i wasnt disappointed. A size 50 in both jackets suits me well. Its a very good quality jacket and looks really modern and stylish with lots of practicality. The build quality s top notch Dainese and it looks very breathable with lots of zip vents, but also very waterproof due to the Gortex lining but not tried out yet, waiting for the biking season to start in full force, but dont think i will be disappointed with its performance. A very good choice for a short blast and also a great choice for touring as well. Looks Great! Excellent service from Motolegends as always with speedy delivery and a very accurate and informative review from the chap in the cap before i made my purchase
