The Smart GO from Dainese is a super-lightweight, highly breathable airbag that follows very much in the footsteps of Alpinestars' latest Tech Air 5 Plasma.

As one of the largest players in the airbag market Dainese decided to conduct their own research in an attempt to understand why the take-up of airbags has historically been so poor. The first airbags were introduced over 30 years ago, yet today the estimates as to how many people regularly wear one vary from less than 1% in many markets to perhaps just over 2% in others. That is to say that, for road riders, airbags have simply not caught on.

What Dainese discovered from their investigations was that, whilst many bikers accept the benefits that an airbag can bring, very few have historically been motivated to wear one because they are heavy, cumbersome, reduce mobility and, in warmer weather, can impair breathability to a potentially dangerous extent.

The Alpinestars Plasma 5 airbag demonstrated how less could be more.

It was Alpinestars' hugely popular Plasma 5 that perhaps showed the future direction for airbags. It signalled the end to the 'arms race' for airbags that offered ever higher levels of protection; airbags that, ultimately, nobody wanted to wear.

But Dainese has moved the game on, creating an airbag that is both lighter and more breathable than the Plasma 5 but that, in the most vulnerable zones that protect our vital internal organs, offers higher levels of protection.

Importantly, the Smart GO comes in at a price that leads to a situation where the reasons 'not' to wear an airbag start to disappear.

About the Smart GO

The Smart GO is incredibly lightweight and incredibly thin.

It weighs just 780 grammes. Now that's half the weight of the Plasma 5, and about a third of the weight of many Motoairbag, Helite and Inner&Motion vests.

The Level 2 back and chest protectors in a Rukka jacket come in at 800 grammes, so we have a situation where, with the Smart GO, you could reduce both the bulk and the weight in a jacket in exchange for a huge increase in protection.

Under EN 1621-2 and EN 1621-3, the maximum transfer of energy that is permitted for a Level 2 back or chest protector is 9 Kilonewtons. This in response to an impact of 50 Joules. Well, impressively, the Smart GO meets the EN1621-4 Level 2 standard for airbags. And what this means is that it will transmit no more than 2.5 Kilonewtons. Simply put, it provides the ability to absorb the energy of an impact that is equivalent to almost four Level 2 back or chest protectors. And it does this without the inclusion of a rigid back protector. In anybody's book that is impressive!

Now a lot of those guys banging out product reviews from their garages will, I am sure, be keen to point out that there are airbags that offer higher levels of protection. Level 2 is the highest level for an airbag, but people will cite the fact that other airbags provide wider coverage over a greater area to protect the shoulders, to lock the neck in place, and so on.

And of course these guys will be correct, but they are missing the point. After all, what is the merit in manufacturers continuing to produce ever more protective airbags that nobody wants to wear?

Dainese Smart GO airbag vest side profile

The backpack construction of the Smart GO means it is incredibly breathable.

The other respect in which the Smart GO excels is in its breathability. Because it is worn with shoulder straps, it's more like a lightweight backpack than a jacket or vest. Air will be able to flow into the flanks, across the shoulders and around the neck. It also sits short enough at the front for air to reach the core.

Listen, there's a truth about airbags. They are airtight. They are always going to somewhat impede the flow of air to the body, but this new generation of airbags flows far more air than airbags of old ever did. The Plasma 5 flows more air than any airbag that went before. But because of the way it's constructed the SMART GO, in our view, will flow even more air.

And it is because of the Smart GO's lightness and breathability that we think Dainese's latest offering has the potential to fundamentally change perceptions. For many years we at Motolegends were not airbag fans; it was the Plasma 5 that caused us to review our position. Given its compactness and the impressive level of protection it offers, we suspect that the SMART GO will, for many, become a bit of a 'no brainer'. This is the vest that could at last put the airbag on every motorcyclist's shopping list.

Dainese Smart GO airbag vest deployment

Smart GO. How it works.

The Smart GO vest operates by means of 'gyroscopes' and 'accelerometers' of some description. Dainese doesn't actually tell us exactly what the sensors are that trigger the Smart GO; suffice it to say that it does not need to be connected to the bike. The system automatically detects what Dainese terms 'dangerous dynamics', triggering the airbag in a matter of milliseconds, with a view to being fully inflated well in advance of any impact. The algorithm has been created by Dainese specifically for road riding and light off-road use.

You do not need to charge the Smart GO. You can connect it to Dainese's ultra-compact power bank that will power the airbag for 72 hours. There may be other power banks that you can use, but given that it would need to be approved by Dainese it's probably easier to use theirs. It is priced at £35.

Dainese Smart GO airbag power options

You can power the Smart GO with your phone or Dainese's powerbank.

Or you can use your phone, provided it is USB 'on-the-go' compatible, as almost all modern phones are. But contrary to what Bennett's suggests, it is not the GPS functionality of your phone that triggers the airbag's inflation! You do not need a phone. The phone is just an alternative potential power source.

Lady wearing Dainese Smart GO airbag vest

The Smart GO comes in one size, and is totally unisex.

The Smart Go is a one-size-fits-all solution, meaning that the airbag can potentially be shared with other riders. It is also unisex. The man from Bennett's has suggested that the Smart GO cannot be worn by women; but he's again mistaken. You should not ride in the Smart GO only if you have silicone breast implants. And not all women have silicone implants; well certainly very few of the ones that I meet!

You can wear the Smart GO over or under. We prefer under!

The Smart GO can be worn over or under your protective jacket, but in our view one of the benefits of an airbag this thin is that it can easily and invisibly be worn beneath a motorcycle jacket. Wear it on the outside of your protective jacket, of course, and it becomes more likely that it could become damaged in an accident.

Your outer jacket should ideally incorporate an amount of stretch. Many jackets these days are labelled 'airbag ready'. Failing this the advice that suggests there should be room to run a golf ball between your body and the jacket still applies.

The Smart GO folds up to a size no larger than your average laptop.

The Smart GO will pack up into a tiny package that is no larger than your average laptop. And this means that when you're not wearing the Smart GO it can fit easily into your daily backpack, a top box, a pannier or, if you ride a scooter, under the seat.

There is no subscription with the Smart GO airbag. The all-in price is £275 plus VAT if buying for business use; that is £329 including VAT.

Dainese Smart GO airbag vest gas cylinder

You can change the cylinder yourself up to three times.

A new gas canister costs £59. It can be replaced by the rider following an integrity check. The airbag has a life of three activations. After three activations you will need to buy a new vest. Or take up a hobby that is going to be less dangerous for you; like nude alligator wrestling. Because, let's face it, if your airbag goes off three times, two wheels may not be for you!

The Smart GO can also be connected to a 15 litre water-resistant rucksack that attaches by means of an innovative magnetic clip system. The rucksack is priced at £119.

Where we get to

Nobody can deny that an airbag can deliver added protection in an accident. But until recently very few motorcyclists were convinced that the upsides in terms of added protection outweighed the downsides in terms of wearability and comfort.

But with airbags like the Tech 5 and the Smart GO the tide, as we see it, is turning.

The Smart GO is impressive. It's the lightest airbag ever. It will allow air to flow through to the body in the way that, hitherto, airbags have not. Yet certified to the highest Level 2 standard under EN 1621-4 it packs a mighty punch, albeit perhaps at the expense of the area of the torso that it covers.

It is so thin that, on the bike, most riders will barely be aware they're wearing it. And certainly, unless you wear it over your jacket, nobody else will know.

And of course at just £329 it is less than half the price of the Alpinestars Tech air 5 Plasma.

Whatever reasons you have ever had for not wearing an airbag, with the Smart GO there can't be many that are still valid.

On so many levels the Smart GO is hard to ignore. Hard to dismiss.

If ever, in the world of motorcycle apparel there was a case of less is more, the Smart GO is an example of it!

If you have any further questions about the Smart GO, hopefully Dainese will have addressed them in their comprehensive Q&A section, which you can visit by clicking here.

Dainese Smart Go airbag vest Questions and Answers

First-time use and the app

How do I register Smart GO the first time I use it?

First, download the Dainese D-air® app onto your smartphone. Log in or create an account, then allow the technical permissions the app needs to operate.

Connect Smart GO to your phone using the built-in USB-C LED cable on the front pocket. Open the app and follow the setup instructions to pair and register the device.

There is one more step. Connecting Smart GO turns it on, but does not enable it. To do that, press the GO button on the app’s main screen.

Where can I download the app to activate Smart GO?

You can download the Dainese D-air® app from the Apple App Store or Google Play for compatible smartphones.

Before using Smart GO, make sure you have the latest version installed. This is important for compatibility with the device.

How can I tell if Smart GO is armed?

Before you set off, check that Smart GO is connected to the app, enabled and showing no error messages.

The system arms when it detects the required riding conditions: vibrations from the bike or a speed above 10 km/h. A flashing green light on the USB-C LED cable tells you it is armed.

A flashing yellow light means it is enabled, but has not yet armed. That distinction matters: switched on and enabled does not necessarily mean ready to provide protection.

What do the Smart GO LEDs indicate?

The light built into the USB-C cable tells you the system’s status. Flashing green means it is armed; flashing yellow means it is enabled but not yet armed.

Before riding, always check that Smart GO is connected to the app, enabled and showing no errors. If the red light stays on, or the app shows an error message, do not use the device. Check the Dainese D-air® app or Dainese’s Information Sheet for guidance.

How do I turn on Smart GO?

Connect the built-in USB-C LED cable to a suitable power source. This can be a smartphone that supports USB On-The-Go, usually shortened to OTG, or the Smart GO power bank.

Then open the Dainese D-air® app and check that Smart GO is connected and enabled. Simply plugging it in is not the whole process.

How do I turn off Smart GO?

Disable Smart GO in the app, then unplug the USB-C LED cable from your phone or power bank.

When you are not using it, leave it disconnected from its power source.

Does the app require a subscription?

No. There is no subscription or additional app payment required to use Smart GO.

Will Smart GO still work if I close the Dainese D-air® app?

Smart GO needs to remain connected to the Dainese D-air® app while you are using it. The app can run in the background, but it must stay active.

Your phone’s Bluetooth and GPS must also remain switched on and working. Do not close the app completely while relying on the system for protection.

Power supply and smartphone compatibility

How does the Smart GO power supply work?

There is no built-in battery to charge. Smart GO takes its power from an external source connected to the USB-C LED cable.

This can be a smartphone that supports USB On-The-Go, or a power bank approved and authorised by Dainese. How long the system will run depends on the power source you use.

How long does Smart GO last when connected to an external power source?

That depends on what is powering it. With the Dainese power bank, Smart GO can operate for up to 72 hours.

If you are powering it from an OTG-compatible smartphone, running time will depend on the phone’s battery. The 72-hour figure does not apply to every power source.

Which smartphones is Smart GO compatible with?

Smart GO requires a compatible smartphone that supports USB On-The-Go. This allows the phone to supply power and communicate with the device through the USB-C LED cable.

The phone’s GPS and Bluetooth must be switched on and working throughout use. You should also have the latest version of the Dainese D-air® app installed.

What happens if the smartphone battery powering Smart GO drops below 10%?

If the phone powering Smart GO drops below 10% battery, the Dainese D-air® app displays a low-battery warning.

Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and check the power source before continuing to use Smart GO. Any separate low-battery alerts from your phone will depend on the phone’s own settings.

Which power banks is Smart GO compatible with?

Use only the power banks or battery boards specified for Smart GO and authorised by Dainese.

You should not assume that an ordinary USB power bank will do the job. Correct operation of the system cannot be guaranteed with an unauthorised power source.

Can I use Smart GO without a smartphone?

No. Smart GO always needs a smartphone connected through the Dainese D-air® app, with Bluetooth and GPS switched on.

That still applies when you use a Dainese-approved power bank or battery board. The power bank supplies the power; it does not remove the need for a phone.

Putting Smart GO on and compatibility with clothing

How do I put on Smart GO?

Smart GO can be worn over or under your motorcycle kit, or with casual clothing. How you set it up will depend on what you are wearing, the fit you want and whether you are using the dedicated Smart GO Backpack.

The important thing is to get the fit right. Before use, make sure the device is correctly positioned, the waist strap is adjusted and the front fasteners are closed. Configure the adjustable front sections for the way you are wearing it, following Dainese’s instructions. This keeps the airbag in the right place and leaves it the room it needs to inflate.

What jackets can I wear with Smart GO?

You can wear Smart GO over or under protective motorcycle clothing or casual clothing, provided you follow Dainese’s instructions on fit, adjustment and room for the airbag to inflate.

The front fasteners must always be closed and properly adjusted. Compatibility comes down to how the clothing works with the airbag, so do not assume that every jacket will be suitable.

Is Smart GO compatible with a two-piece leather suit?

It can be, but the fit has to be right. The suit must allow Smart GO to sit correctly and leave enough room for the airbag to inflate.

With protective clothing, keep the front sections unfolded and leave at least 8 cm of space in the chest and back areas, following Dainese’s fitting instructions. If you are unsure whether your suit is compatible, check with Dainese Customer Service.

Is Smart GO compatible with a one-piece leather suit?

It can be used with leather clothing, including a one-piece suit, provided the garment allows the device to sit correctly, the fasteners to be properly adjusted and the airbag to inflate as intended.

When wearing protective clothing, keep the front sections unfolded and leave at least 8 cm of space in the chest and back areas, in accordance with Dainese’s instructions.

But there is an important distinction here. Smart GO is designed for road riding in Road mode. Wearing it with a one-piece suit does not make it suitable for a track day or racing.

Should Smart GO be worn over or under a jacket or suit?

Either is possible, provided you follow the correct configuration for the clothing you are wearing.

With protective motorcycle clothing, the front sections must stay unfolded. When Smart GO is worn over casual clothing, the front panels can be folded or unfolded, depending on the recommended setup.

In every configuration, you need at least 8 cm of space in the chest and back areas for the airbag to expand correctly. Smart GO must not be worn too tightly or compressed by unsuitable clothing, accessories or backpacks. Always close and correctly adjust the front fasteners.

Is there a women’s version of Smart GO?

There is no separate women’s version. Smart GO comes in one adjustable size, with a waist strap and adjustable front panels to accommodate different body shapes.

That does not mean fit can be taken for granted. Make sure it sits correctly, is properly fastened and is adjusted for your body and the clothing you are wearing, following Dainese’s instructions.

Does Smart GO come in different sizes?

No. It comes in one adjustable size, with the fit altered through the waist strap and front panels.

There is still a measurement you need to check: Smart GO is suitable for a waist-to-shoulder measurement between 45 and 49 cm. An adjustable fit does not mean it will fit everybody.

How can I check if Smart GO is suitable for my height?

Your overall height is not the deciding factor. What matters is your waist-to-shoulder measurement, because people of the same height can have different torso lengths.

To find your waistline, stand upright and wrap a flexible tape measure around your waist, 50 mm above your hip bones. The waist-to-shoulder measurement is the maximum vertical distance up your back from that waistline to the point where your shoulder meets your neck.

For Smart GO, this measurement needs to be between 45 and 49 cm. Follow Dainese’s measuring instructions to check the fit.

Backpack and accessories

Can I wear a backpack over Smart GO?

You can use the dedicated Smart GO Backpack, which has been designed to attach to the device using a specific mounting system.

That does not mean you can use any backpack. Backpacks that have not been authorised by Dainese have not been evaluated for use with Smart GO, so correct operation of the airbag cannot be assured.

Intended use and activation

What sort of riding is Smart GO designed for?

Smart GO is designed for road riding on motorcycles and scooters, using Road mode. Its main brief is everyday riding: getting around town, commuting and heading out of the city.

It can also be used for longer road trips and on unpaved roads that are not excessively rough, provided you ride at low or moderate speeds and stay within the conditions specified for Road mode.

What sort of riding is Smart GO not suitable for?

Smart GO is not intended for track days, amateur or competitive racing, or specialist off-road riding such as motocross, enduro, super-enduro or rally raid. It must not be used on very uneven, rough or treacherous terrain.

An unpaved road is a different matter, provided it is not excessively rough and you are travelling at low or moderate speeds within the conditions specified for Road mode.

The system does not provide protection on quads or other four-wheeled vehicles, kick scooters or other urban micro-mobility vehicles. Its operation on these vehicles has not been evaluated.

Can I use Smart GO with a vehicle other than a motorcycle or scooter?

No. Smart GO is designed for motorcycles and scooters.

It does not provide protection on quads or other four-wheeled vehicles, e-scooters or other urban micro-mobility vehicles. The system has not been evaluated for use with these vehicles.

When does Smart GO arm?

Smart GO arms when it detects vibrations from the bike or a speed above 10 km/h.

If neither of these conditions is met, protection is not guaranteed. On an electric motorcycle, protection is not guaranteed below 10 km/h or when the bike is not vibrating.

Does Smart GO need to be connected to a motorcycle or scooter?

No. There is no connection to the bike itself.

Smart GO uses its built-in electronic control unit, with a three-axis accelerometer and gyroscope positioned on the back, together with your smartphone’s GPS.

Does Smart GO work with electric motorcycles?

Yes, but you need to understand the limitation. On an electric motorcycle, protection is not guaranteed below 10 km/h or when the bike is not vibrating.

You should not assume that Smart GO is providing protection in these conditions.

Is Smart GO active when I am stationary?

Smart GO is not designed to remain operational while stationary. Vibrations from the bike may allow it to arm, but protection is not guaranteed when the motorcycle is switched off, or on an electric motorcycle travelling below 10 km/h.

Dainese advises avoiding conditions that could disarm the system while you are using it. A bike’s Start&Stop function is one example.

In what situations does the Smart GO airbag activate?

When armed, Smart GO is designed to activate in the road-accident scenarios specified by Dainese. These include a collision with an obstacle or another vehicle, a high-side, and a low-side with or without rolling.

How quickly it activates will depend on the circumstances and severity of the incident. It is not designed to deploy in response to minor events such as a small wheelie or a slight jolt through the handlebars.

Protection and certification

What areas does the Smart GO airbag cover?

The airbag covers the chest and back. It does not provide protection to areas outside its coverage.

During an impact, it also helps limit neck movement and the angle between the head and neck, reducing helmet movement.

Do I need to use other protection with Smart GO?

Smart GO provides certified airbag protection for the chest and back in the accident scenarios it is designed to respond to. It does not cover every part of the body or every situation.

Additional passive protection, such as a back protector or the armour in your clothing, can help improve overall protection. This is particularly relevant where the airbag does not deploy, or for areas it does not cover.

Any additional protection must work with the clothing you are wearing and must not interfere with Smart GO’s position or leave the airbag without enough room to inflate.

What level of protection does Smart GO offer?

Smart GO is classified as Category II Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE. Its D-air® airbag system offers Level 2-certified protection for the chest and back.

After an activation

Can I use Smart GO again after a fall?

Possibly, but only after its condition has been checked. Following a fall or an activation, you must not use Smart GO again until its integrity has been verified.

Look for tears, cuts, abrasions, breaks or any other visible damage, particularly around the airbag. Before resetting the system, carry out an airbag integrity test to check that it holds pressure. This uses a pump or compressor and the adapter supplied with Smart GO, following Dainese’s instructions.

If the device is undamaged and passes the test, it can be reset by replacing the CO₂ cartridge kit in accordance with the instructions, subject to its three-inflation limit. If you find damage, notice a defect or are unsure about anything, contact Dainese Customer Service before using it again.

What is an integrity test?

It is a check that the airbag still holds pressure. You must carry it out after each deployment and before fitting a replacement CO₂ cartridge kit.

The supplied adapter screws into place instead of the cartridge kit. You then use a pump or compressor fitted with a pressure gauge to inflate the airbag. Follow the procedure in Dainese’s Information Sheet for the specified pressure and the check after a few seconds; do not guess the pressure or timing.

If the test is successful and the device remains within its permitted service life and inflation limit, it can be reset with a new, original Dainese CO₂ cartridge kit. If there is any damage, a defect or a doubt about the result, contact Dainese Customer Service.

What should I do after an activation?

Do not use Smart GO again until the reset process has been completed.

Check the device and airbag carefully, then carry out the integrity test described in Dainese’s Information Sheet before fitting a new CO₂ cartridge kit. Only proceed if the device is in good condition and passes the test. Remember that the third activation is the end of the device’s permitted use.

If you spot damage, notice a defect or have any doubts about its condition, contact Dainese Customer Service.

How many times can I use Smart GO after the first airbag activation?

The airbag is designed for up to three inflations in total. That means a maximum of two further inflations after the first, provided the device, airbag and components remain intact.

After each activation, it needs to be inspected and integrity-tested. Before any permitted reuse, the CO₂ cartridge kit must be replaced following Dainese’s instructions.

After the third activation, Smart GO must not be used again and must be disposed of as instructed. A fresh cartridge does not extend that three-inflation limit.

How long does Smart GO take to deflate after activation?

Deflation can take between 30 and 45 seconds, although the pressure inside the airbag may take longer to fall in some conditions.

Transport, cleaning and maintenance

How can I transport Smart GO when I am not using it?

Switch it off and disconnect the phone, power bank or battery board before transporting it. This helps prevent it from turning on accidentally.

Keep it somewhere dry and well ventilated, and protect it from knocks, pressure and bending. Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures; a top box or the space under a seat can get too hot on a warm day.

If you are flying, check the airline’s and airport authorities’ rules on CO₂ cartridges before travelling. Dainese Customer Service can help with any documentation required for air transport.

Does Smart GO require maintenance?

Yes. Before every use, check for wear, breaks, cuts, abrasions and any other visible damage.

Dainese also recommends checking the CO₂ cartridge kit once a year. Follow its instructions to disconnect the electrical connector, unscrew the kit and weigh it on scales accurate to one gram. Check for corrosion and dents as well.

Dainese’s supplied guidance says the weight must not be less than 199 ±5 g. Follow the checking procedure in the Information Sheet and ask Dainese Customer Service to confirm the acceptable minimum if you are unsure how to interpret that figure.

If you find anything abnormal, see damage or have any doubts, do not use Smart GO. Contact Dainese Customer Service.

How do I clean Smart GO?

Smart GO must not be washed. To clean it, use a soft cloth, slightly dampened with water alone.

Do not immerse it, rinse it under a tap or use harsh detergents, solvents, abrasive products or chemicals. It must not be ironed, dry-cleaned, treated with chlorine or tumble-dried.

Is Smart GO waterproof?

You must not immerse Smart GO, wash it under running water or deliberately expose it to liquids. Water can permanently damage the electronics.

If you are riding in rain with a non-waterproof garment, wear a rain jacket over the garment to protect the system.

What should I do before transporting or storing Smart GO?

Always turn it off and disconnect its external power source first.

When you are off the bike, taking a break, stopped or transporting the device, Smart GO must remain switched off and unplugged to prevent accidental activation.

Store it in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from heat, direct sunlight, impacts and excessive pressure.

What should I do when I get off the motorcycle?

Turn Smart GO off as soon as you get off the motorcycle or scooter, and disconnect the external power source if you are not continuing to use it.

Do not run, jump, make quick movements, take off your clothing or remove your backpack while the system is switched on or connected. These actions could cause an accidental activation.

Is Smart GO sensitive to outside temperatures?

Yes. Smart GO must only be used between 0°C and 40°C.

Prolonged exposure to temperatures outside that range can affect how the system works. Keep it away from heat sources, naked flames, high temperatures and extreme cold.

Is Smart GO sensitive to sunlight?

Yes. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and keep any direct exposure to a minimum.

When you are not using it, do not leave it in the sun or somewhere that can become very hot, such as a top box, under a seat or inside a vehicle parked in sunlight.

Can I customise Smart GO with patches or embroidery?

No. Smart GO must not be sewn, embroidered, painted, coloured or otherwise modified.

That includes adding patches or other decorations. Alterations can affect both the way the device works and the protection it provides.

Ownership, age, service life and disposal

How long is the warranty?

Smart GO’s warranty is subject to the applicable law and Dainese’s commercial warranty terms in the country where you bought it.

For the length of cover, what is included and how to arrange support, check the warranty information supplied with your purchase or contact Dainese Customer Service.

How long does Smart GO last?

Dainese states that Smart GO is fit for use for five years from the date of purchase. Its actual lifespan will depend on how often it is used, the conditions it encounters and how it is stored and maintained.

That does not override the condition checks or the three-inflation limit. A damaged device, or one that has reached its third activation, must not be kept in use simply because it is less than five years old.

How much does it weigh?

Smart GO weighs 780 g.

Is there an age limit for using Smart GO?

Smart GO is intended for adults. Its use by anyone under 18 has not been evaluated.

It must always be correctly fitted and used in accordance with the instructions. The CO₂ cartridge kit must also be purchased and replaced by an adult aged 18 or over.

Who cannot use Smart GO?

Smart GO must not be used by anyone with a pacemaker or another electronic medical device, anyone who has recently had abdominal surgery, anyone with a back or neck condition, anyone with silicone breast implants, or anyone who is pregnant.

Can I lend my Smart GO to someone else?

Smart GO is a personal device that must be paired and registered through the Dainese D-air® app. It is not simply a case of handing it over and letting someone ride off with it.

If it is transferred to another person, the new user must register it correctly in the app. This keeps the device associated with the right person for updates, notifications and any recalls.

How should Smart GO be disposed of?

Smart GO contains electronics and a CO₂ cartridge kit, so it must not go into your general household waste.

Dispose of the electronic device through the appropriate waste electrical and electronic equipment route, in accordance with the WEEE rules where you live. The empty CO₂ cartridge kit should go to an authorised collection centre as ferrous metal waste, following local requirements.

If you are unsure where to take it, check with Dainese Customer Service or your local council’s recycling centre.
