Motorcycle Trousers

In the event of an accident it is frequently the lower half of the body that come into contact with the ground, and usually for the longest time, so the level of protection offered by a trouser is of paramount importance. By contrast, the trouser takes less impact from the wind and rain than does the jacket, so features like thermal liners may not be quite so vital. Leather is naturally abrasion resistant, so leather motorcycle trousers can give you a significant level of protection if you end up sliding down the road. But leather is not good in the rain and has few thermal properties, so leather trousers are not so good in the winter. A good textile motorcycle trouser won’t absorb the rain and, of course, most trousers will have a thermal liner for greater warmth and comfort. All proper motorcycle trousers will come with armour in the knees and hips and, dependent on your riding, you may look for features like anti-abrasion backings, air-vents, stretch panels for comfort, and reflective areas for better visibility. We recommend you also consider motorcycle jeans as an option as the modern protective jean can offer great abrasion and impact protection as well as comfort and style on your motorbike. Our favourite are the Rokker jeans which we have made to our own specification and come as standard with D3O armour. Their impressive slide time and the evidence we have from accidents gives us the confidence to recommend them to our customers.

Halvarssons Laggan pants in black

Matthew Wood: Faultless

My first foray into Halvarssons. My go-to dry weather trousers are now Rokker Rokkertech jeans. Im on my second pair and they are wonderful. I have quite found the same balance for waterproof gear. For commuting in all weather, Rukka has been outstanding. Now for occasional long distance road trips, Ive tried something lighter and with stretch. The jacket and trousers were great for a long weekend to Wales, in a downpour on the way back. Uber comfortable, with no restriction of movement, very comfortable waist band, great 36l for me with Velcro synching to stop them flapping in the wind. About half the weight of Rukka gear. I was warm enough but I reckon sub 7 degrees, these might need a down liner. No unwanted breeze or cold spots. Performed better than the jacket.

Klim Kodiak 2 pants in navy blue

david: Kodiak

I bought a new suit in there weekend sale, it arrived very quickly and well packaged. The trousers did not fit so sent them back for the next size up, this happened within a week. When the new trouserarived the fit was great but the bracers were missing. I emailed are a replacement was sent out within two days. What more can I say well happy with there service again.

Richa Stripper trousers in black

Steve Dallen: Essential for commuting

Had a pair of these for around 18 months, and quite honestly theyre probably the most useful piece of motorcycle clothing Ive ever bought. Easy to put on, comfortable to wear and well priced. Only minor criticism is that the velcro on the ankles could be a bit longer!
