Motorcycle jackets | Bike jackets | Biker jackets

Choosing a motorcycle jacket is probably the most important gear decision you have to make. The huge choice of bike jackets on the market can be bewildering. There are the safety issues to consider - how abrasion resistant is the jacket material; are there reinforced areas; what level is the shoulder and elbow armour; is a back protector included or optional? Then you need to think about the waterproofing and venting properties of the jacket. Will you be riding in the summer or winter or both? These days a textile motorcycle jacket can be just as effective as leather in terms of protection. But leather has no thermal qualities, and is very poor when it comes to keeping the rider dry, as it simply absorbs moisture. Staying safe on a bike is helped when you ride comfortably, and in most circumstances, hot or cold, wet or dry, you'll be more comfortable in a textile jacket. Textile jackets  also tend to come equipped with a whole host of technical features that often don't make their way onto leather motorcycle jackets. Choose leather if your priority is looking good, or if you’re riding on the track. Choose textile for commuting and touring.

Spidi Roar leather jacket in burgundy

Neil Robinson: Superb Jacket.., but size up!

Having watched Mikes the chap in the cap review on YouTube and other research, I decided to purchase this jacket for both riding and leisure use given its sublime quality and finish of the leather along with the subtle branding. Unfortunately and sadly I had to return it as the fit was too tight. I ordered the maximum available EU60 size which equates to 50 inch chest. I am 49 inches with similar portly midriff so was expecting a snuggish fit allowing for a thin base and mid-layer. However, it was too tight and foresaw this wasnt going to give me a comfortable, passive safe flexible fit on the bike so sadly returned it. Spidi like most Italian manufacturers I suppose tend to have a cut more suited to slender body profiles so I would recommend sizing one up from your normal true size. If it ever becomes available in EU 62 52 inches I wont hesitate in purchasing. It really is a lovely jacket and worth the money. Usual excellent delivery and return service from Motolegends, along with a speedy no hassle refund. Highly recommended.

John: Top quality

This jacket is superbly made, it oozes quality. Im very impressed with the styling and practicality on the bike.. Its expensive ,but itll last a lifetime. Im a 42 chest, was unsure of the sizing, contacted Motolegends, they advised the XL, with a back protector, its a perfect fit. Well done Motolegends again.
