Rukka Stancer GTX Laminated Glove Video Review

Published on: 05 February 2020

In his latest glove review Chris tells us everything we would ever want to know about a new glove called the Stancer that Rukka has introduced as part of their new 2020 range. The Rukka Stancer replaces the Argosaurus glove, which has been in the Rukka range forever. The glove has a huge spec.. In fact, it’s pretty much a longer-cuffed version of the shorter Kalix glove. The gloves have a Gore-Tex, laminated membrane, which makes it a classic, summer-waterproof, or three-season, glove. Rukka has thrown absolutely everything at the Stancer: vents, digital leather, touchscreen sensitive fingers, Scotchlite reflectors, a visor wipe, the lot. We don’t, in truth, sell that many gloves that can be directly compared to the Stancer. It’s still quite sporty and aggressive in its styling, but the Stancers are so comfortable you could happily commute in them. £250 is a lot for a glove. A lot. The best summer-waterproof gloves from Klim and Stadler both come in at under £200. But, of course, they’re not Rukkas. Nobody questions the quality of Rukka’s gloves. They are lovingly put together using all the best components. But you pay for the privilege of riding in Rukka gear. That’s just the price you pay, I suppose, for buying the best. Let’s listen to what our chap has to say on the subject.
