Waterproof Motorcycle Boots
If it rains hard enough for long enough, your feet are going to get wet when you ride a bike, as will other areas of your body. This is a motorcycling reality. A waterproof membrane liner in a boot will help to keep your feet dry, but it's not a perfect solution, as rain can get in over the top of the boot. Tall boots are usually therefore better at keeping feet dry than are short boots. Wearing your riding pants over, and not-inside, your boots will also help keep the rain out. Boots with laces are not going to be the best when it comes to keeping water out. Lorica may be better than

TCX Hero 2 boots in brown
I bought these a day before embarking on a 2000 mile tour of northern Spain. As comfortable on the twisty mountain roads during the day as they were in the Michelin starred restaurants at night.
Daytona Road Star Pro GTX boots in black
I have been looking for a protective boot to replace my TCX boots, so I decided to give these Daytonas a try. The Daytonas feel more substantial and protective than the TCX, especially through the heel and around the ankleshin. The zipper is a bit challenging at first but the boot has broken in nicely. I was a size 46 in TCX but 45 hits the spot for the Daytonas. Having adjustability around the calf is a nice feature. Boots arrived to the U.S. in just a few days. Overall I am very pleased. I plan on purchasing a pair of Daytona Road Star air GTX boots next spring.
Dainese Metractive D-WP boots in brown
I loved the look of the boots online and they dont disappoint in person. They are a great looking pair of boots that I will happily wear from autumn through to spring. The soles are really grippy and have enough flex to be comfy while still feeling confidence inspiring. My initial thoughts were that these are a really solid pair of boots and that has not changed. They became very comfortable after the first couple of times I wore them and I am able to wear them all day at work without any aches or pains. Equally importantly, I dont look as if I am wearing motorcycle boots. Im pleased there is a side zip or getting in and out of them would be a chore. I read a few reviews and decided to size up from my usual European size, but I dont think that was really necessary. At least I will be able to wear thicker socks once the weather turns colder. I would say these feel more like a boot than a pair of trainers, but I bought them for protection rather than to feel like a pair of slippers so I find this reassuring. Definitely worth the money and I think I will be wearing these for many years to come.
