Held Motorcycle Clothing
Held is one of those companies that is not particularly well known, but that is nonetheless hugely respected by those who know its products. Held has always been particularly renowned for its motorcycle gloves. Indeed, the company was started by a Czechoslovakian glove maker Bruno Held, who escaped from the communist eastern bloc to set up his company in the west in 1946.
Today Held produces a huge range of gear; from one-piece race suits to off-road motorcycle boots. The company uses all of the highest grade technologies and components; from Gore-Tex and D3O to SuperFabric, 37.5 and Ripstop.
Here at Motolegends we only started to work with Held in 2020. Initially, we chose a small selection of gloves. Later we expanded the range, and added some boots. For 2021, we added some motorcycle jackets and suits. We have been hugely impressed with what we have seen. Held is not a great marketeer, but they are perhaps this industry’s best kept secret. Without too much pomp and fanfare, the company goes about its business of producing very high end equipment at a sensible price. If, as a motorcyclist, you don’t know Held, don’t be put off.
